Apple's first set of public beta versions for iOS 17, iPadOS 17, and macOS Sonoma brought with them a slew of new features like full-page screenshots, bilingual Siri, and better dual-SIM support. Notably, Siri now supports bilingual queries in select Indic languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Punjabi, Kannada, or Marathi.
Another significant feature in iOS 17 is the full-page screenshot option, previously available only on Android devices. Users can now capture a complete page on their screen and save it as an image or PDF file.
Apple also addressed the needs of dual-SIM users, introducing per-SIM message sorting, unique ringtones for each SIM, and the option to choose a SIM when returning a call from an unknown number.
Additional enhancements for Indian users include transliteration support for Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam; Apple ID sign-in using phone numbers instead of email IDs; a new Punjabi dictionary, and enhanced call history and message filtering.
While these beta versions might still contain bugs, Apple plans to release the stable versions of iOS 17, iPadOS 17, and macOS Sonoma in the coming fall.
