Flight Story, the marketing and communication company co-founded by Steven Bartlett (BBC Dragon’s Den) and Oliver Yonchev (former MD of Social Chain), today announces the 100% acquisition of Flight Performance (formerly Mint Performance Marketing), and subsequent launch into the US market.

Flight Performance is a performance marketing offering that accelerates growth for disruptive brands through cutting-edge strategies across creative, influencer marketing, paid social, paid search, email and SMS. Based in New York, LA, Manchester, the Philippines and London, Flight Performance will join the Flight Story ecosystem, with the sole aim of keeping its clients at the forefront of the changing digital media landscape.

Part of the digital and social media landscape since 2004, Daniel James founded Mint Performance Marketing in 2019 and will lead Flight Performance from the LA headquarters.

The launch of Flight Performance also marks Flight Story’s entry into the US, with offices now in London, New York, Los Angeles and Manchester, and a team of 120+ offering 360 marketing services offering to brands who want to be at the forefront of what’s possible.

With growth into new markets comes an expansion to the Flight Story team - Neil Gissler joins as a Non-Executive Director to lead on the agency’s global growth strategy. Neil is a recognised industry leader with extensive experience in building and scaling global marketing organisations, including his most recent role as Global Chief Operating Officer at £3.5B+ Dentsu, in which Neil designed and implemented a new growth-oriented operating model and global organisation design.

Neil has also previously led teams at Merkle and Accenture through multiple technology waves, developing their vision and strategy, building comprehensive and integrated offerings, enabling and driving sales, as well as managing the delivery of these services bringing his wealth of experience to the Flight Story team.

Steven Bartlett, co-founder of Flight Story comments; “The world is changing at an ever-increasing pace - we’re at the start of a series of new exponential curves that will undoubtedly transform life as we know it - that’s why I’ve founded Flight Story; because we believe that exponential change creates exponential opportunity and we believe we’re uniquely positioned to help the world’s leading brands capitalise on that opportunity.

We’re stepping into the third iteration of the internet as we know it, a more decentralised, immersive, artificially intelligent internet, where new rules apply. With our acquisition of Mint Performance Marketing we’re adding a talented collective of individuals who understand these new rules and how to use them to help disruptive brands achieve their marketing goals.”

Oliver Yonchev, CEO and co-founder of Flight Story says; “We are excited to be welcoming Daniel and the team to the Flight Story family. The business is scaling exponentially and our growth to the US marks an exciting and monumental milestone for the business that will see us gain an advantage to move beyond regions and service global accounts.”

Daniel James, Founder and CEO of Flight Performance; I am excited to be working alongside Steven and Oliver on the expansion of Flight Story in the UK and US markets on the newest division, Flight Performance, offering brands effective growth strategies to scale their businesses profitably.”

The launch of Flight Performance comes in quick succession from the recent launch of Flight3, Flight Story’s new innovation arm, Flight Deck, a world-first tool that measures the impact social media has on stock prices and Flight Fund; a new fund backed by Steven Bartlett and a collection of successful founders to accelerate the next generation of European Unicorns. Flight Performance, Flight Deck and Flight3 are all part of Flight Story – where Steven and his team are building an ecosystem of services to keep brands at the forefront of the evolving digital and media landscape, so they can effectively communicate their stories.
