In a significant shake-up of its international leadership, Dentsu Group Inc. has announced key promotions. Giulio Malegori, the former CEO of Dentsu EMEA, has ascended to the role of Group Chief Operating Officer. Concurrently, Jean Lin, the former Chief Culture Officer of Dentsu Group Inc., will take on the responsibilities of Group President, Global Practices.
Both Malegori and Lin will directly report to Hiroshi Igarashi, the President and CEO of the group. As the Group COO, Malegori will lead the ensemble of regional CEOs. His duties will encompass global client growth, streamlining business operations, and IT oversight.
On the other hand, Lin's mandate is to unify key practice domains spanning Dentsu's brand array. Additionally, she will be the torchbearer for talent cultivation within Dentsu.
Underlining the rationale behind these shifts, Igarashi commented, “For enhancing our client partnerships, we need streamlined, agile teams that ideate, consult, and deliver large-scale transformative solutions. These leadership appointments will foster expertise, champion individual network brands, and instill diverse, unprecedented global creativity at Dentsu.”
The Japanese conglomerate has hinted at releasing more insights regarding the structural and leadership nuances of the new brands and practice units under Lin in the near future.
