In a pivotal move, WPP-owned media agency EssenceMediacomX has announced Clare Chapman as its new Chief Executive Officer. Chapman succeeds Ryan Storrar, who is set to embark on a new journey at another WPP-owned entity, GroupM Nexus UK and EMEA.
Ryan Storrar, in his new role, will serve as the Chief Executive Officer of GroupM Nexus, described by WPP as “the industry’s largest community of performance marketing experts,” focused on driving innovation and performance at a grand scale. Storrar expresses excitement about maintaining and establishing client relationships and delivering transformative impacts to their businesses in his new role.
Chapman, with her extensive experience in the media sector, is no stranger to EssenceMediacomX. She reenters having previously held the position of Executive Vice-President Head of Media EMEA at Essence before its merger with Mediacom. Prior to her return, Chapman served nearly two years as the Chief Executive Officer of Dentsu’s Carat.
