Google Search and Chrome Introduce New Tools to Aid Users in Discovering Discounts

Google steps up its shopping game with new features in Search and Chrome, offering discounts, price insights, and price drop alerts for savvy online shoppers.

Google's Game-Changing Deal-Finding Tools: Shop Smarter!

Google is making a bold move to revolutionize the world of online shopping by introducing a set of powerful deal-finding tools. With these innovations, Google aims to provide users with a seamless and efficient way to discover discounts and get the best deals while shopping online.

The tech giant recently announced new features for both Google Search and the Chrome browser, designed to simplify the online shopping experience.

In Search, Google has introduced a designated page for deals, making it easier for users to find products on sale across the web. The deals page covers a wide range of categories, including apparel, electronics, toys, and beauty products. Users can explore deals from various types of merchants, including big box stores, direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands, luxury multi-brand retailers, designer labels, and local stores. The page also displays popular stores with deals relevant to your interests, provided you're signed into your Google account.

To access this new deals page, users can simply search for "shop deals." Alternatively, for more specific searches, you can use terms like "shop sneaker deals" to narrow down your results.

Additionally, Google has integrated deal-finding features into its Chrome browser. When using Chrome, you'll now receive proactive suggestions for discount codes while browsing shopping sites. The "Resume browsing" card will show products you recently viewed on shopping websites and inform you if they are currently discounted. Furthermore, a new Discount tag icon in the Chrome address bar allows users to see available coupon codes when visiting product pages on shopping websites.

Google is also bringing its popular price insights feature from Search to Chrome on desktop. When available on a merchant's website, you'll see a "Shopping insights" label in the Chrome address bar. Clicking on it will reveal a price history graph for the last 90 days, as well as the typical price range for the product on the current page.

Moreover, Google is streamlining the process of setting price drop alerts. When viewing a product on Search, users can click the bell icon next to the product name to receive email and push notifications if the product's price drops across various online retailers. In Chrome, you can bookmark products in a new Shopping list folder and receive price tracking updates.

With these innovative features, Google is redefining the way users shop online, making it more convenient and cost-effective. Say goodbye to hunting for discounts, and let Google's deal-finding tools do the work for you!
