James Morris Resigns as CEO of Dentsu Creative EMEA

James Morris, the EMEA Chief Executive of Dentsu Creative, has announced his departure from the agency. Ete Davies, the current Chief Operating Officer, will take on Morris’s duties in the interim period.

Morris joined Dentsu Creative in 2019 and has been an influential figure in the agency, serving in various senior leadership roles across its UK and EMEA divisions. Under his guidance, the agency won numerous accolades, including six 'Agency of the Year' awards at local EMEA award ceremonies and over 230 shortlists and wins globally.

According to Guilio Malegori, Dentsu EMEA CEO, Morris was crucial in unifying Dentsu’s creative brands and capabilities in the region. "James has built a strong Dentsu Creative leadership team who will continue to grow and deliver best in class work," Malegori stated.

Morris leaves the agency with a list of accomplishments, including this year’s Cannes Lions recognition and considerable year-on-year commercial growth. He also made strides in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts within the agency.

Prior to Dentsu, Morris was the CEO of production company Stink Studios for three years and spent five years at Mediacom.

"It has been my pleasure to work with such an entrepreneurial and talented team at Dentsu. I will miss this lovely bunch of people," Morris said.

As Ete Davies takes the interim reins, the focus will be on maintaining the momentum built by Morris and his team. The agency will likely continue its pursuit of creative excellence and DEI goals.

James Morris's departure leaves big shoes to fill at Dentsu Creative EMEA. However, with a strong leadership team in place, the agency is well-positioned to continue its successful run in the creative world.
