KFC has joined hands with TikTok star GK Barry to roll out its latest Japanese-inspired Teriyaki burger and bites. The new offerings are available starting today, 24 July.
The promotional campaign, designed in collaboration with London agency Mother, is highlighted by a humorous 30-second advertisement that puts the spotlight on KFC's exciting partnership with the internet celebrity. Airing on traditional TV, the campaign is set to extend its reach through various social media channels. The new items will feature on KFC's menu until 3 September.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the partnership, GK Barry stated, “Absolutely buzzing to be starring in the sauciest ad of the year to launch the banging new Teriyaki Burger and Bites!” He added, “The Colonel’s handed over the reins and I’m renaming this sweet, sticky delight ‘The Barryaki’. Get down to KFC before it’s too late!”
The Teriyaki burger features KFC’s trademark ‘Original Recipe’ fillet and pickled slaw, topped with teriyaki sauce - a first-time addition to the KFC menu. All these ingredients are neatly held together by a soft brioche bun.
