Google Calendar introduces a dynamic new feature that enables users to specify where they're working from throughout the day. An enhancement of a previous feature introduced in 2021, which allowed users to set their working location for specific days, this new functionality caters to the modern, hybrid working lifestyle.
Whether you're working from home, an office, a designated building, or a combination of locations, Google Calendar's got you covered. For example, you might be working remotely in the morning but plan to head to the office in the afternoon. By noting this in your calendar, your co-workers can easily identify your location at any given time, simplifying the process of reaching out or setting up meetings, either in-person or virtually.

This feature, launching today, can be activated by selecting the "Working Location" option as an event type in your calendar and picking your location. You can then customize the date, time, or recurrence by adjusting the time element.
If you're subscribed to Google Workspace Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Education Fundamentals, Education Standard, Education Plus, the Teaching and Learning Upgrade, or Nonprofits, you can immediately start leveraging this new feature. Improve your workflow and foster seamless collaboration with Google Calendar's cutting-edge location specification feature!
