In a powerful and compassionate partnership, housing and homeless charity Shelter has joined forces with The PHA Group to launch this year's annual Winter Appeal. The collaboration is geared towards not only increasing awareness of the charity but also driving fundraising efforts through a creative and impactful campaign.
This partnership extends beyond the typical festive campaign activation and amplification. It also involves setting up a robust press office, strengthening consumer media relations, and engaging with influencers who can champion Shelter's noble cause.
Shelter's decision to partner with The PHA Group comes in response to alarming statistics that underscore the homelessness crisis in the UK. Despite over 271,000 people facing homelessness in England, there exists a worrying gap between this crisis and public awareness.
Claire Whitney, Shelter's Head of Supporter Acquisition, highlighted the urgent need for a powerful campaign: "The number of households facing homelessness in England is now the highest on record, so we needed to appoint a PR agency to create a campaign that would resonate with mass awareness and drive action."
Whitney continued, "We were impressed with The PHA Group's creative strategy and understanding of our mission, and are excited to be working with them to deliver such an important message."
Suzanne Haysler, Director of Consumer at The PHA Group, expressed the agency's dedication to making a positive impact: "We are passionate about delivering impactful communication that can positively impact others, so are delighted to be working closely with Shelter to deliver their Christmas campaign."
Given the severity of the current housing crisis, the overarching goal of this partnership is to educate and raise awareness about Shelter's invaluable work while encouraging public donations.
This collaboration follows The PHA Group's recent appointment of Mike Chivers as its new Creative Director earlier this year. Last year, Shelter teamed up with creative agency AMV BBDO for an eye-opening out-of-home (OOH) campaign shedding light on the harsh realities of homelessness in the UK.
As Shelter and The PHA Group embark on this mission to combat homelessness and make a difference, their united efforts promise to create waves of compassion and support this winter. Stay tuned for updates on their impactful campaign!
