The PHA Group has broadened its scope by acquiring Leeds-based agency MCG, known for its prestigious clientele including Northern Trains, Pink Lady apples, Damart fashion brand, and domestic cleaning labels Vileda and Marigold.
This strategic move marks the second acquisition for The PHA Group, strengthening its North division and expanding its footprint across offices in Manchester and Leeds. With 22 years of operation in Leeds, MCG's founders—Christine Mortimer, Sarah Chadwick, and Kate Gray—have departed the company as part of the acquisition. However, a team of six from MCG is now integrated into PHA's North division, led by Hannah Craig, who joined from Finn in 2021.
Shelley Frosdick and Stuart Skinner, managing directors at The PHA Group, will spearhead MCG's integration. In a joint statement, they expressed excitement about strengthening their regional presence and long-term investment in Northern England. They acknowledged the substantial growth, talent, and client opportunities in the region, highlighting the seamless acquisition process and their commitment to building on MCG's established client base.
Founder Christine Mortimer expressed gratitude for the collaboration, citing the incredible journey of 22 years and the privilege of being part of a renowned agency like The PHA Group. The acquisition underscores PHA Group's dedication to expanding its reach and reinforcing its regional foothold with MCG's rich client base and reputation.
