In a recent announcement, Elon Musk, billionaire owner and former CEO of Twitter, stated that Twitter plans to share email addresses of subscribers who opt-in with content creators. This feature is designed to empower creators, allowing them to take their subscribers with them if they decide to exit the platform.
Musk explained via a tweet, "This platform will provide email addresses of subscribers (who opt-in) to content creators, so that creators are able to leave this platform easily & take their subscribers with them if they want."

This announcement comes along with an update to the Edit Tweet feature, initially introduced in October last year. This feature allows Twitter Blue subscribers to amend their tweets within a specific timeframe from the moment of posting. Originally, this window was set at 30 minutes but has now been extended to one hour, as confirmed by an official statement from the Twitter Blue account.
This change comes shortly after the appointment of Linda Yaccarino as Twitter's new CEO, previously serving as the chairman of global advertising and partnerships at NBCUniversal. Musk revealed that Yaccarino will primarily focus on business operations, while he will be responsible for product design and new technology. Musk also shared that he will assume the role of executive chairman and CTO at Twitter, overseeing product, software, and system operations.
