In a move aimed at evolving its client leadership, media agency Wavemaker has appointed Alastair Bannerman, Anna Hickey, and Alex Altman as the leaders of its Fast Growth, Consultancy, and B2B Practices respectively.
Bannerman, in charge of the Fast Growth practice, will focus on scaling up brands. Brands that recently joined the agency's Fast Growth portfolio include Back Market, Square, SeatGeek, Zwift, Coinbase, and DoorDash.
Hickey will helm Wavemaker's Global Consultancy, which is designed to support clients in implementing transformative growth solutions. The focus will be on helping clients adopt new growth strategies in emerging retail media channels, building synthetic voice solutions, and creating cookieless data solutions to reach new audience segments.
Altman, leading the B2B practice, will be scaling up the agency's 'human-first' approach. The aim is to assist brands in focusing on growth areas like innovation, strategy, and measurement. Notable clients of the agency include AXA, General Electric, TikTok, Reuters, and Deloitte.
Toby Jenner, Wavemaker global CEO, stated that the trio will continue to lead their existing clients with an expanded remit. This will enable the agency's global client leadership to be closer to the capabilities that will best cater to client demands and fuel their growth requirements. The three will also be responsible for integrating the expertise from GroupM and WPP into their respective practices and client needs.
