WhatsApp has finally announced one of the most anticipated features today — message editing. Users can now modify a message within 15 minutes of sending it. To edit a message, simply long-press on it and select "Edit." The edited message will have an "edited" tag next to the timestamp to mark the change.

This new feature is a major improvement over the previous options for correcting mistakes in messages. Previously, users could either delete the message altogether or send a correction in a separate message. Both of these options had drawbacks. Deleting a message could confuse the recipient, and sending a correction could create unnecessary notifications.

The new editing feature solves both of these problems. It allows users to quickly and easily correct mistakes without having to delete the message or send a separate correction. This will make it easier to have clear and concise conversations on WhatsApp.
The editing feature is already rolling out to users and will be available to everyone in a few weeks.
