Global advertising company WPP has unveiled a new campus in Manchester, marking its first UK location outside London. The campus will be home to eight WPP agencies: EssenceMediacom, Cheetham Bell, Code Computerlove, Wavemaker, Cloud Commerce Group, Kinetic, Ogilvy Health, and VMLY&R Health.
The new site, based at the former Granada Studios site Enterprise City, occupies 67,000 square feet of office space and is set to cater to 550 staff members. Manchester mayor Andy Burnham will officially open the campus.
Burnham praised the move, noting that WPP's increased presence in Manchester reflects the city's international competitiveness and capacity to draw in globally recognized businesses and top-tier talent.
WPP CEO Mark Read emphasized the company's dedication to facilitating collaboration and promoting creativity through this investment in the new Manchester campus. He lauded Manchester as a flourishing creative hub and emphasized WPP's commitment to offering clients access to a broad spectrum of WPP talent in a single location.
