Google Introduces New Gemini-Powered Conversational Tool to Expedite Search Campaign Creation for Advertisers

Explore the latest from Google Ads as Gemini, its multimodal language model, transforms Search campaigns. Advertisers can now leverage a chat-based tool for easy and scalable campaign creation.

Google Unleashes Gemini: Revolutionizing Search Ad Campaigns with Conversational AI

In a groundbreaking announcement, Google revealed that its family of multimodal large language models, known as Gemini, now powers the conversational experience within the Google Ads platform. This major update aims to streamline the process for advertisers, making it easier to build and scale Search ad campaigns.

The conversational experience is a chat-based tool designed to assist in building Search campaigns. Using a website URL, the tool generates relevant ad content, including assets and keywords. Additionally, it suggests images tailored to the campaign using generative AI, with all AI-generated images being clearly identified as such. Advertisers have the final say, approving both images and text before the campaign goes live.

Beta access to this conversational experience in Google Ads is now available to English language advertisers in the U.S. and U.K., with global access opening up to all English language advertisers in the coming weeks. Google plans to extend access to additional languages in the upcoming months.

Shashi Thakur, Google’s VP and GM of Google Ads, mentioned in a blog post that the conversational experience has proven to help advertisers build higher quality Search campaigns with less effort during the testing phase.

This latest tool joins Google's suite of AI-powered tools for advertisers, including the recently introduced "Product Studio" with generative AI product imagery capabilities. As Google continues to integrate AI across its products, Gemini stands out as a powerful addition to revolutionize the efficiency of Search ad campaigns.
