For $19.82, you can choose to buy one of two boxes: "Classic Remix" or "New Wave." Each box contains over 100,000 "Nike Virtual Creations" that are mostly based on the Air Force 1. But here's the catch: you won't know what design you got until Nike reveals all the OF1 boxes on an undisclosed date after May 10th. You'll have the option of not opening the box and leaving it as a virtual Schrodinger's cat situation.
The "Classic Remix" box contains a "favorite, classic archive AF1 released from 1982 to 2006" or "a more unique, custom AF1 with a nostalgic twist." Meanwhile, the "New Wave" box contains a "classic archive from 2007 or later" or "an expressive, custom AF1 with a more futuristic twist." Both types of boxes also contain four designs from the winners of Nike's previous "Your Force 1" contest.
These digital collectibles aren't just for online use, though. In the future, Nike plans to introduce "other new utilities and benefits... such as exclusive physical products or experiences."
