YouTube Extends Community Posts Feature to All Channels

YouTube is opening up its Community Posts feature to all creators, offering more ways to engage with their audience on the platform.

YouTube Community Posts Now Accessible to All Creators

YouTube is broadening the reach of its Community Posts feature, making it available to all creators and providing another platform for engaging with their audience.

These Community Posts, which are found on your YouTube channel, offer a text-based medium for keeping your subscribers in the loop with updates and important information, similar to other social media platforms. Originally, the option was exclusive to channels with over 1,000 subscribers. However, starting this week, all YouTube channel owners can enable Community Posts through the Advanced Features tab in the app.

YouTube explains the process: "You can sign up for advanced features by going to Studio > Settings > Channel > Feature eligibility. Once there, opt into advanced features, or you can tap the plus sign in the YouTube app, tap create a post, and if you don’t yet have access to advanced features you will be prompted to verify at this point.”

Over the past year, YouTube has added numerous features to Community Posts, including polls, quizzes (currently available on Android and coming to iOS soon), disappearing updates, and more. These new additions provide creators with enhanced ways to interact with their YouTube community, potentially serving as a beneficial tool in building their presence on the app.

All creators are encouraged to explore this feature. If the option to enable Community Posts is not yet visible in your YouTube or YouTube Studio app, rest assured it will be available soon.
