Croud Appoints Luke Smith as Global CEO in Leadership Shake-Up

Croud, the digital agency, has unveiled a significant shift in its leadership team, appointing Luke Smith as the inaugural Global CEO. Formerly the UK Chief Executive and co-founder of Croud, Smith steps into this global role, bringing his expertise to a broader sphere. The UK Chief Executive position will be filled by Jon King, the current Group Chief Operating Officer.

Expressing enthusiasm for leading the UK business, Jon King stated, "We're uniquely positioned to solve problems for clients, and we're looking forward to seeing what 2024 brings."

The leadership transition follows Croud's acquisition of global social media agency Born Social in November 2022. Notably, Born Social's Chief Executive, Ben Tyson, and Chief Operating Officer, Charlotte Hamill, will now join Croud's executive leadership team, contributing their expertise to the agency's future trajectory.

In response to these changes, Luke Smith remarked, "As we continue to grow the business at pace, I'm delighted to have Jon and Sophie leading Croud in the UK. They both have a wealth of industry experience. I'm also pleased to be moving to a more integrated future with Born Social's Ben and Charlotte joining our executive team, bringing fresh thinking and skill sets; they represent the future leadership of our business."

This strategic realignment positions Croud for an evolving future, leveraging the strengths of its leadership team to navigate the dynamic landscape of digital marketing.
