VMLY&R and Wunderman Thompson Merger Sees Key Appointments: Ben Worden Appointed as VML UK Chief Strategy Officer

The merger of VMLY&R and Wunderman Thompson in October has triggered a series of significant appointments, with Ben Worden, the former head of planning at Wunderman Thompson UK, stepping into the pivotal role of VML UK chief strategy officer. This move comes amid the agency's endeavor to consolidate its position as a dominant force within WPP's vast network, bringing together over 30,000 professionals spanning 64 markets.

Campaign magazine reported the elevation of Anna Vogt, former CSO at VMLY&R, to the role of VML EMEA chief strategy officer in a note shared by UK chief executive Pip Hulbert. Hulbert, who previously served as Wunderman Thompson CEO and took the helm in November, also announced Kate Nettleton's appointment as VML UK head of strategy, formerly the head of planning at VMLY&R UK.

In her communication, Hulbert commended Vogt for her substantial contributions in securing new clients and expressed confidence in the abilities of Worden and Nettleton, heralding their partnership. Worden, in a LinkedIn post, expressed his enthusiasm and eagerness for this new role.
